Its advertising and procurement staff use the system to supply more than 600 local stores with up-to-date promotional advertising in German and French every week and to produce all advertising material for a broad range of media channels. myPUBLISH seamlessly incorporates various modular software solutions.
Flexible media and recipe database
myASSETS provides Volg with an extremely flexible digital asset management (DAM) system. All media assets for the products offered can be stored and managed here in one central location: images, logos, labels, as well as descriptive texts and translations.
Consistent product information for all channels
The product information management (PIM) system myCONTENT is integrated with SAP via an interface, from where it obtains product and planning information. The system thus forms the central source of data for producing advertising material for all media, and it also supplies external systems such as the website.
Hybrid planning and creation of advertising material
Volg creates its campaign formats such as posters and press advertisements in myCATALOG. The system supports and monitors the stages of the process performed by marketing staff by means of workflows and notification e-mails.
Automated production of PDFs
Marketing staff use the myPOD web-to-print solution to create PDFs based on templates. This enables advertising material to be generated in just minutes, without needing the support of experts or the use of additional layout programs. This allows shelf stoppers showing up-to-date pricing to be created, as well as advertising posters for Volg’s various seasonal activities.

Volg is based in Swiss villages, and even in the remotest valleys. Volg stores often are meeting places for people who know each other personally. The entire process of producing advertising material has thus been digitalized and effectively mapped in myPUBLISH.
And even this solution is not yet complete – both partners are carefully working together to develop it further. For example, a new production planning system in SAP has now enabled price labels to be issued for all promotional products instead of just a small selection. Following an amendment to the Swiss Ordinance on Price Indication (Preisbekanntgabeverordnung), the 100 g price has been implemented in the PIM system and can be released in all advertising materials at the push of a button. Last but not least, customers want to be informed via an ever-increasing number of channels and media. Volg is responding to this with the website, customer magazine, newsletters and banner advertising.
