What is product information management?

Product information management (PIM) means software that allows you to centrally store, manage and share all of your company’s product information. The central solution consolidates data from a wide range of company areas, such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), inventory management, master data management (MDM) and digital asset management (DAM). A PIM system manages all content on a media-neutral basis, allowing it to be published across all digital and analog channels.

PIM solutions provide a single central product catalog for all marketing, sales and e-commerce channels.

Automated import

All content from myASSETS is already integrated into myCONTENT. Standardized interfaces connect enterprise software such as ERP or MDM systems and are configurable via XML. All imported product information is automatically stored in myCONTENT.

Multimedia enhancement

Campaigns, promotions and products can be edited with connected external editors. All products are linked and managed with appropriate media data – from images to layouts, videos, audio and 3D files. Workflows are specifically adapted to your company and support a wide range of roles such as copywriting, editing, translation and proofreading.

Integrated advertising media planning

The planning of individual advertising media is carried out in the myCONTENT catalog manager. A customer-specific workflow manages the production process. The PIM solution supports a wide range of roles such as product management, editing, proofreading, translation and layouting.

Page planning of complex publications

The system integrates extensive page planning. Previously created templates are edited and managed in the PIM system and populated by authorized users. In combination with extensive rights management, complex campaigns and promotions can therefore be automated error-free.

Cross-media publishing

All content can be transferred to external systems with all linked assets – prepared for specific channels and with built-in quality checks. Standardized interfaces connect content management systems and can deliver different formats simultaneously. The PIM solution also supports standard export formats such as CSV and XML.
