A new generation of Digital Asset Management

A new generation of Digital Asset Management

Modern Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems like the new version of myASSETS have little in common with the image databases of the past: they seamlessly connect with all publishing channels, automate content processes, and enable process-driven use of generative AI.

With a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, companies store and manage all files used in communication and marketing: images, graphics, texts, layouts, presentations, and other content. However, the growth of digital channels, along with the increasing speed and volume of communication, poses significant challenges for our clients.

With the new version of myASSETS, we’ve developed a solution to help companies meet these challenges. New customer projects, such as those for Eurotrek and Knecht Reisen, have already been implemented using the new solution, and existing customer setups are being gradually migrated.

With myASSETS, you can organize, find, share, and publish all content from a central location. The solution automates production, integrates efficient AI tools directly into workflows, and connects publishing and content management systems via interface.

Because myASSETS is seamlessly integrated into our web-based publishing portal myPUBLISH, the DAM system forms the core of digital publishing processes. It enables automated output to all channels, supports database publishing and web-to-print solutions, and allows the creation of dedicated media portals. It also offers a range of modern AI and automation features to boost efficiency.

Integrated AI Support

Leverage the power of AI directly within your DAM system: tag and categorize any number of images at the push of a button, automatically generate image descriptions during import, check compliance with your image guidelines, or optimize parameters such as contrast and color space. You have full flexibility to connect to any GPT service, centrally manage your prompts, and even display the costs directly in the user interface. This way, you can easily implement centrally controlled AI processes for your team, ensuring cost efficiency and saving time.

For our client Interhome, we use AI-based image recognition to automatically detect and categorize rooms in photos. Pictures of kitchens, living rooms, or bedrooms are automatically recognized and sorted for display on the website. Classification takes place fully automatically during import, handling several thousand images per day.

Automated Output and Publishing

Via interfaces, content can be automatically pushed to third-party systems such as a CMS, an online shop, or an ERP system. myASSETS can transfer files, provide asset URLs, and even output defined metadata like article numbers. Custom file formats — e.g., for image size, resolution, or color space — can be created “on the fly” during export, significantly reducing storage load. With special image features like Focal Point and Protected Area, you ensure that the main subject of the image always remains the focus — regardless of format or crop.

For our customer Eurotrek, product managers manage all images and maps for their trips directly in myASSETS. The image database not only serves as the foundation for catalog production and the partner portal but is also set to become the central image source for the connected website.

Innovation Combined with Publishing Know-How

We’ve actively shaped and learned from many changes and transitions in the publishing world — and we bring that expertise into our software and every customer project. The new features not only offer innovative solutions for current publishing challenges but also support and automate real-life business processes. This allows innovation to be integrated not just into test projects, but also into regular workflows across the entire organization.
